News July 24th 2007 New pictures from the Molde International Jazz Festival added. Steely Dan - Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, plus Elvis Costello with Allen Toussaint performed at the Romsdalsmuseum, a pcrtoresque outdoor venue. July 1st 2007 New pictures from the Hell Music Festival, located outside of Stjoerdal, 30 miles north east of Trondheim, Norway. Turbonegro, Dimmu Borgir and Breed played at the outdoor stage, while Elvira Nikolaisen was one of the artist to perform indoors. June 22nd 2007 Lots of pictures since the last entry here. Some concerts by themselves, then by:Larm, SXSW 2007, Bergen Fest, some concerts from the Nidaros Blues Festival, Spot 13 and Norwegian Wood. b:Larm happened in Trondheim this year, inside an old bunker from WW2. Many good bands, topped by Big Bang who did a great concert. SXSW was great as usual, with my favourite concerts being Rickie Lee Jones, Amy Winehouse and Ian McLagan. In Bergen, Marianne Faithful and Shooter Jennings did great concerts, together with William Hut, Christel Alsos, Susanne Sundfoer and Seasick Steve. Spot 13 is in Aarhus, Denmark every year, and this year Eivor Palsdottir, A Kid Hereafter, National Bank and The Lionheart Brothers did great. And at the Norwegian Wood Festival in Oslo, Korn, Brian Wilson, The Waterboys and Travis were the international headliners, while Jonas Fjeeld and the Chatham County Line did a great bluegrass set. September 12th 2006 The festival season is mostly over, and I have updated the site with most of the pictures from the summer's festivals. FIrst there was the Down On the Farm in Halden, Norway July 21-22nd, with artists like Green On Red, Mercury Rev, Grady and Minor Majoritty. Then there was the Notodden Blues festival, August 3-6th, with Johnny Winter, Jeff Healey, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Canned Heat, Beth Hart and Vargas with Devon Allman. August 19th I was at the Steinkjer festival, and Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band is from here. More will follow later from this festival. August 31st I took pictures of Ronnie James Dio and Norwegian jazz band Wibutee at the Hamar Music Festival. I will update the site with more pictures from the Steinkjer Festival and all the pictures from the Oya Festival later on. Stay tuned. July 3rd 2006 Roskilde Festival happened last week with lots of concert with great artists. I had my camera there one day, and got pictures of Morissey, Opeth, My Midnight Creeps and JR Ewing. You'll find them under their respective letter under Artists in the Photo Album section. June 25th 2006 Hell Music festival 2006 was arranged 22-24th of June. Hell is a small place outside of Trondheim and means something completely different in Norwegian. At the festival you could have "a nice weekend in Hell" with good bands like Deep Purple, Madrugada, Buddy Guy and Bob Geldof. In the Photo album-section under "d" and "g", you'll find pictures of Deep Purple and Bob Geldof, and under "m" you'll also find Steve Morse. June 19th 2006 The Norwegian Wood Festival is over - five days with great foreign and Norwegian bands and artists. You will findd photos of the artists under Festivals in the Photo album section, and each of them under their respective letter under Artists. Gnarls Barkley, David Gray, National Bank with singer Thomas Dybdahl, Blue Foundation, Deftones, Soulfly, Turboneger, Ron Sexsmith, Corazon, Elvira Nikolaisen, Richard Hawley, BigBang, Lou Reed, Martha Wainwright, Minor Majority, Maria Mena, Vidar Vang, Mew and Kent are all here. June 8th 2006 The Danish showcase festival, Spot12, was arranged in Aarhus June 1-3rd. As usual the festival is a pleasant affair with a mix of well-known and more unknown bands May 7th 2006 Bergenfest finished last night with the last of over 100 concerts during 9 days. Many tickets were sold, and the weather was exceptionally nice.
April 29th 2006 Bergenfest has started, and I have posted pictures of The Waterboys and Roy Rogers and Reidar Larsen from the first night of the festival. From the second night, there are pictures of Daniel Lanois, Steve Harley & Cockney rebel, Susan Tedeschi, Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers, Patricia Wonne and local artist Heidi Marie Vestrheim. There will be more pictures from the festival after next weekend Bergen Fest is maybe the best Norwegian festival, at least the most interesting with a mix of Americana, blues, rock, country, bluegrass and singer songwriters. The focus is on good music, whatever the styles, and it goes down very well with the audience. April 27th 2006 Last wekeend I attended the Nidaros Blues Festival in Trondheim, and saw and heard Ray Davis, Solomon Burke and Jeremy Spencer.

I will be glad to hear your views on the new design, and also on the usability of the site. Since the last time I updated the site, I have taken lots of pictures. First I attended by:Larm in Tromsoe in February - the Norwegian equivalent to SXSW. Then I attended SXSW in March. In between and afterwards, I have taken pictures from concerts with Candi Staton, Christer Knutsen, Thomas Dybdahl, Corazon and Henning Kvitnes.
